2022 - This project was a new challenge for me, even though I have experience as a focus puller on commercials and short films, this was a whole new ballgame. Bigger crew, faster pace, and a lot of handheld action! It was a great experience working on the B-unit, I got to learn a lot watching A-unit and being a part of a bigger camera crew. And everyone can watch it because it is on Netflix now! :D
ZINA
2021/ 2022 - I got to 2nd AC on this series. I learned a lot and happy to get to work with the makers and this great cast and crew!
Back in the dutch woods to shoot: 'Kamp Koekieloekie'
2021 - This was a very fun shoot, I was the 2nd Ac on this project and we shot it in the dutch woods on a closed campsite. We had it to ourselves for the duration of the shoot. It was great to combined my love for nature with some musical fiction!
'For the Kore' with Sam Kuch shot in Nelson, BC, Canada
Here it is! the first time I got to AC in the snow. Skiing with heavy packs, hiking, and a little off piste action. Not bad for my first season on skies! Was a great experience and a great crew with Michael Parentau Directing and Chase from Tamarack Media. I look forward to going back sometime and getting to work with this crew again. Ofcourse also a big shout out to Sam Kuch. Such an amazing skier and an incredibly nice guy!
AC-ing in beautiful Nelson BC!
Last week I had the chance of working with Michael Parentau, a great director from Nelson, BC who teamed up with his long term friend Chase Rickaby from Tamarack Media co. We shot a passion project with super ski talent Sam Kuch. I can’t wait to share the final short with you!
'Where the birds go'
June 2018, Germany. To realise Arjen Schotel’s vision for his new short a crew of 17, including friends and family of Arjen, came together for a 10 day shoot. Having worked on Arjen’s previous short and on many commercial projects together I was happy to be asked to be the AC for this intriguing project. This month the trailer was released. I will keep you posted on screening dates!
Silence of the Tides
Last summer I was the AC on an amazing project about the Unesco World Heritage Site: the Wadden Sea. It is the the largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Shot with the Sony Venice, Sigma Primes, the Movi pro and the Phantom Flex. Our great crew includes Pieter-Rim de Kroon, Reinette van de Stad, Kees Kolenbrander, Dick Harrewijn, Victor Dekker and myseself. We have traveled by car, by boat and by train to get to all these unique locations. Here are some of the 'behind the scenes' photos. Enjoy!
